Learn to work fair isle patterning using the two handed technique in only two hours! This method allows you to work without having to untwist your yarns. You will learn how to carry the color not used and read a graph, as well as European knitting. Materials: 2 colors of light bulky weight yarn, a 16" size 9 circular knitting needle & markers.

Come learn the basics of knitting socks from the toe up on two circular needles. No grafting, no picking up stitches! We’ll learn to make a seamless toe using Judy’s Magic Cast-On, discuss heel turn and slip stitch heel flap techniques, and finish off with Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-Off. Materials: 2 24" or longer US size 5 circular needles and 100 grams worsted weight yarn to make 1 pair of baby socks.

This one includes the best of the best! Different ways to cast on and bind off, increase and decrease, fix mistakes, finishing techniques and more! We’ll talk about how to figure out what size sweater to make according to the pattern you’re using, and to make the rows of bind offs at a neckline or armhole smoother. Materials: Light colored smooth bulky weight yarn, US size 10 or 10 ½ knitting needles and a size J or K crochet hook.

In this class we’ll combine learning to knit a pair of handwarmers with striping techniques, while using up your yarn stash! We’ll explore working with double point needles, jogless stripes and working with color. Make fun pairs of handwarmers to keep, give as gifts or for charity knitting. Materials: US size 6 double point needles, and lots of colors of worsted weight yarn from your stash!

Have you ever walked into a yarn shop, seen skeins of hand dyed yarn and wondered, “How did they do that?”. This workshop will introduce you to the basics of hand dyeing yarn. We will cover basic color mixing, the application of dyes and steaming of the yarn to set the dyes. Each student will dye 2 skeins of yarn and time will be allowed for steaming. Wear old clothes and come ready to have some fun!
